Valley Water is just behind the Historic Chapel, near the main entrance. Not particularly attractive to waterfowl, but a good place to find basking trutles.
Sylvan Water, the largest of the ponds, is just a bit beyond Valley Water and is surrounded by hills on three sides. This is generally the busiest place for waterfowl. The central island provides some cover for nesting ducks and geese.
Crescent Water is located in the Crescent Dell, near the Western (37th St) side of the cemetery. It is round and open with small crabapple and cherry trees.
Dell Water is located by Crescent Water and in fact is supplied by runnoff from it. This area is as close a Green-Wood alows anything to be wild. Occasional ducks, but more the province of herons.
