Mockingbirds are exceptionally numerious at Green-Wood all year round. You’ll frequently find them at the tops of obelisks and statues, often singing at the tops of their lungs.
As their name implies they are wonderful mimics, frequently sending me on (figurative) wild goose chases. They usually give themselves away by suddenly switching to a different bird.
